This 60 minute class begins as a strong, vigorous vinyasa flow held in a warm, yet comfortable 80-84 degree room, and winds down with quieter, meditative postures. Sequencing and challenge level is appropriate for beginners and the more experienced yogi. Challenging but accessible postures build strength, endurance, and flexibility, but are at the same time mentally relaxing. Forrest Yoga
Forrest Yoga is an intensely physical and internally focused practice that emphasizes how to carry a transformative experience off the mat and into daily life. The practice moves slower & more precise than vinyasa, but just as vigorous, if not more so. Forrest Yoga is founded on four pillars -- Breath, Strength, Integrity and Spirit. Forrest Yoga teaches you to connect to your core, to be strong and centered. Sequences are designed to help you develop the skills to awaken each of your senses. The longer holds help you progress in the poses and go deeper. Aided by the use of heat, your body is freed from toxins; the deep breathing oxygenates and rejuvenates every cell in your body. Suitable for all levels with modifications.
Candlelit Restorative
Our Friday night class. A still and gentle practice that facilitates restful relaxation and deep structural release. We will work with a combination of Yin, restorative and soft, simple movements to find a quality of ease and groundedness in the body and mind. Suitable for all levels. Props, bolsters and blankets are provided, however are in limited supply. Students are encouraged to bring their own blankets for use during practice, to ensure comfort for all, as this class often fills.
