* Intro series: Fundamentals of Vinyasa Yoga. Meets Thursdays at 7pm.

Intro to Vinyasa Yoga is designed for beginners or students wishing to explore vinyasa yoga. You will learn basic yoga postures, yogic philosophy and breathing practices that will inspire you on and off the mat. Upon completion, most students will be prepared to participate in Basics and/or Level I/II classes at Twist Vinyasa Yoga. Meets once a week on Thursdays for six weeks. Our next sesssion begins September 16, at 7pm. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early the day of first class. Studio opens at 6:45. You may reserve a spot by purchasing online or calling 425-778-YOGA.  Tuition: $72.  Please note we do not offer make-ups for missed classes in the series.

 

* Vinyasa Basics

With sequencing simpler than Vinyasa I/II, this Basics/Level I Vinyasa class will be 2/3 heat building vinyasa and 1/3 longer, restorative poses. Held in a room heated to between 80-84 degrees, this flow style of yoga synchronizes breath with movement. Each class will have a physical and mindful theme that will be threaded through the sequencing. Beginning pranayama work included. Suitable for all levels.


* Vinyasa for All Levels

75 minutes. A strong, vigorous vinyasa flow held in a warm (84 degree) room. Sequencing and challenge level is appropriate for beginners and the more experienced yogi. Challenging but accessible postures build strength, endurance, and flexibility, but are at the same time mentally relaxing. Suggestions for those who want to intensify their practice as well as modifications and props for those who are newer, make this class appropriate for all.


*  Vinyasa I-II

Held in a room heated to 84 degrees, this vigorous flow style of yoga synchronizes breath with movement. This class will be 2/3 heat building vinyasa and 1/3 longer holds, restorative poses.. Each class will have a physical (i.e. backbends) and mindful theme that will be threaded through the sequencing. Students will participate in beginning arm balances, inversions and jump backs. Beginning pranayama work included. With modifications, suitable for all levels.


* Vinyasa II-III

Similar to Power Vinyasa I-II, with the incorporation of more advanced asana and sequencing. Students will be participating in poses such as headstand, arm balances, and deeper pranayama work. With modifications, suitable for all levels.

 

* Power Vinyasa

This style of yoga is a dynamic combination of strength, sweat and spirituality. This accessible, yet challenging, and flowing form of yoga will sculpt and tone the muscles of the body while clearing and clarifying the muscle of the mind. Power vinyasa classes are structured and vigorous, and are performed in a heated to a comfortable 84 degrees. Suitable for all levels of practitioners who wish to move, sweat, stretch deeply and explore one's potential.

 

* Yoga for Runners

Join Janell for an “All Levels” yoga class at Twist Vinyasa Yoga which will focus on hip openings, breathing, mind relaxation techniques, deep stretching and restorative poses that will ease tightness from pounding the pavement. Meets monthly, second Sundays.

Tuition: $15 drop in. Class passes do not apply.

* Restorative

Our Friday night class. A still and gentle practice that facilitates restful relaxation and deep structural release. We will work with a combination of Yin, restorative and soft, simple movements to find a quality of ease and groundedness in the body and mind. Suitable for all levels. Props, bolsters and blankets are provided, however are in limited supply.   Students are encouraged to bring their own blankets for use during practice, to ensure comfort for all, as this class often fills. 

 

* Yoga for 50+

This class is especially designed for those over 50 who would like to practice yoga but have been discouraged because they think they have the wrong body type or their “bodies don’t bend that way.” This is a slow introduction to the basics of the physical practice of yoga, breathing practices (pranayama) and meditation.


Tuition and policies

Policies: All classes, class passes and unlimited membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Workshops and special classes are not included in unlimited memberships. Class and membership fees may increase each year.

Discounted class pass packages: We are able to offer discounted class tuition if a student wishes to pre-purchase bundles of classes for use within a specific time frame.  We offer 5 ($13 per class) and 10 ($11 per class) class pass bundles.   5 class passes must be used within two months  (60 days) of purchase.  10 class passes must be used within three months (90 days) of purchase.  Classes not used within their alotted time period will be lost.  Classes in a pass bundle may not be shared or transferred.  Please think carefully prior to purchasing bundles; if students think they will not be able to use the classes themselves, within the alloted time, the best option is to pay as you go ($15 drop in per class.) 

Freezing or extending class pass expiration dates
A unlimited membership or class package expiration date may be adjusted only for medical reasons. It is the student’s responsibility to notify the studio at the time of injury or illness. We are unable to make adjustments to dates retroactively. A statement of injury or illness must be documented in writing by a physician before any adjustment to the membership is made. Memberships and class packages may not be extended to accommodate non-use, vacation and/or travel dates.
